Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Sonar platform at trysonar.app ("Service") operated by Sonar ("we", "our", or "us"). By using our Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Account Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

2. Subscriptions and Billing

Sonar offers paid subscription plans billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

The 14-day free trial provides full access with no credit card required. After the trial ends, you must subscribe to continue using paid features.

3. API and CLI Usage

API access is included with paid plans. You must not share API keys or use the API to build a competing product. Rate limits apply as described in our documentation.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service in violation of these Terms
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Resell or redistribute the Service without written permission

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and content, is owned by Sonar and protected by intellectual property laws. Your data remains yours. We claim no ownership over the data you input into the Service.

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect and process data as described therein.

7. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect the Service. We are not liable for any downtime or data loss.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sonar shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may cancel your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
